Loved the Ben folds, fitting and a great song!

The Olympics are a funny thing, I find them to be a complete waste of money and are so rarely a complete success that I wonder why any city would ever want to host one (Like tyler was saying, I feel like there is much more going on than we can ever full understand)! At the same time, i do get excited about it and really enjoy watching the events. Also, it's funny to go out in the bars and see how into the games ppl get. Even for sports like curling and figure skating that rarely get any 'face time' in the mainstream...

Speaking of streams, I enjoyed this week's Office, I wonder if Jim is suffering a bit of what Bart Simpson experienced where he was supposed to be the focus and ppl just started to drift towards another character.... is Andy the new homer? Also, one thing you guys didn't talk about but i think has a lot of comedic potential is the Dwight/Ryan partnership to bring down Jim. Ryan has had much more subdued role this season but every time he is on, it's directly in line with his character. He's lazy, not a good employee, kind of arrogant and looking to take out Jim (essentially the guy he should be) which he said he would do when he came back from New York and made his list of ppl he had to get back. Anyway, I'm enjoying it and would love to hear your thoughts on it.

Oh and I completely agree with your analysis of the pedestrian/auto interaction... it's a bit ridiculous and I've spoken at length with alissa about my thoughts on that topic.

Until next time!

Hello again ASR Hosts:

You are indeed on a roll!
The combination of current events, urban planning, music and entertainment is a great mix. Discussions are invariably the highlights of each episode.

I have had success of late downloading the shows as podcasts from ITUNES.

The number of pedestrian deaths in the city of Toronto has been appalling this year. It is in the news almost daily. The causes are quite variable - people on cellphones, drivers losing control over their vehicles, bus mirrors striking persons at curbside. Society seems to have become completely complacent or outright oblivious as to the dangers associated with cars. What ever happened to the basics for pedestrians of "looking both ways to cross the street", and the fundamentals for drivers that "pedestrians have the right of way"?

I confess. I am an Olympic junkie. Cannot get enough.

I confess. I am confused about LOST. Each week raises more questions.

Thanks for the show!

I feel like its too late to comment... but I will anyways. Barista is the Italian word for bartender. Funny enough, I also make excellent alcoholic drinks.
